WATERFALLS

In watercolour painting the medium itself becomes the very essence of light and water with translucency and fluidity being its key properties. I like to push the boundaries by experimenting with pouring and gestural techniques – this leads to the alchemical effects where pigments and water interact on the paper surface. I’ve always been fascinated by waterfalls and to capture their energies my paintings crisscross the borders of representation and abstraction.
